General Contracting Services

General contracting services at NJ Rojas Contracting are designed for larger, more complex projects that require planning, coordination, and professional oversight from start to finish. We manage renovation and improvement projects that go beyond basic repairs—ensuring the work is completed safely, correctly, and to professional standards.

What Does it Involve?

Unlike handyman work, general contracting projects typically require more than one phase of work and may involve trusted trade partners and licensed subcontractors to complete the project properly.

These projects often include:

  • Detailed planning and scope definition
  • Hiring and coordinating licensed trades when required
  • Permits and inspections (when applicable)
  • Written contracts and deposits
  • Ongoing project management and communication

Our role as the general contractor is to ensure all moving parts of the project come together smoothly and responsibly.

Types of General Contracting Projects

General contracting services may include:

  • Small to mid-size renovations
  • Bathroom or kitchen updates
  • Structural or framing repairs
  • Decks, built-ins, and custom carpentry
  • Multi-trade projects requiring coordination
  • Permit-based residential work

Each project is evaluated individually to determine the appropriate approach, timeline, and requirements.

How These Projects Are Managed

General contracting projects are handled with a structured process to protect both you and us:

  1. Initial review of the project scope
  2. On-site evaluation to assess conditions and details
  3. Written proposal or contract outlining scope, pricing, and expectations
  4. Permits and scheduling, if required
  5. Project execution and coordination
  6. Final walkthrough and completion

Clear communication is maintained throughout the process so you always know what’s happening and what comes next.

Estimates & Pricing

We believe in transparency, accuracy, and setting clear expectations from the start.

Free Ballpark Estimates

We’re happy to provide free ballpark estimates via email when possible, using photos and a detailed project description. These are meant to help you understand a general price range before moving forward.

On-Site Evaluation & Detailed Quote

For projects that move beyond a rough estimate, we require a $300 on-site evaluation fee. This visit allows us to fully assess the project and provide a detailed, professional quote that we stand behind.

This detailed quote includes:

  • A clear scope of work
  • Product and material information
  • A breakdown of the project into phases
  • Cost per phase
  • Permit and trade coordination considerations (if applicable)

If you choose to move forward with NJ Rojas Contracting, the $300 evaluation fee is credited back toward the project total.

This process ensures pricing is accurate, expectations are aligned, and there are no surprises once work begins.
